Apartment Review for Thornton Park - Jacksonville, FL

I was the first person to move into my current apartment back in July. At first glance, everything is nice, then you can find a few problems like paint on light switches, small things that didnt really bother me. Thornton is new so the apartments and all the amenties look great. Unfortunately, the club house and all amenties minus the gym close at 9pm, and thats even on weekends. They are strict enforcers of this. If you want it to stay open longer, you can pay the club attendant 25 dollars and hour for just sitting there talking on the phone until midnight. Pretty ridiculous. Also, to reserve any of the amenties you have to pay money you dont get back, but they dont mind disturbing your movie in the movie theatre by showing it to perspective residents. Also, if youre at the pool you have to listen to 96.9 because they have to keep "neutral music" on for the other perspective residents. So, you end up paying alot of money and getting no say in anything. The walls are so thin, you can hear everything beside you and above you. I dont have loud neighbors but I can hear them anyway. I have no problem with the parking or safety but toher residents have had their cars broken into. The gate to get in had been broken for over a month before they finally fixed it. The office staff is awful here! No joke! They never call you back, you have to call them over and over, they lose reservations to the amentities, and they have no organization, and are not very friendly. Its a beautiful place that is being run awfully. So, that ruins everything.Yes, a beautiful apartment, but too noisey to enjoy your privacy. Beautiful amentities but not really able to enjoy them because the rules and way they are ran. I would not reccomend this place to anyone, and cant wait to get out of this hell hole. I pay too much to be constantly dissatisfied.
