Apartment Review for St. Augustine At The Lake - Jacksonville, FL

I am helping an in-law find a place to live and after viewing the website, it looked like a gem. We went to look at the place and talk to the staff. Once we got there the staff wanted a copy of my drivers license before he would talk to me (which I respectfully declined). The apartment floor plan we wanted to look at was $200 higher than the website stated. Then the idot tried to explain to me that they were running low available units so the price went up, just as Walmart would do if they had 50 DVD players in stock yesterday but only 10 today. I politely explained that retail doesn't work that way, in fact, only the large airlines do and they never make money so it is probably not a good plan. Then he wanted to so us similar sized models from a 30 year old building for not much less money. I politely explained that we could rent something out in the Bartram Parkway area that was bigger, newer, nicer neighborhood, for same or less money. We parted ways after that. As I was walking out the door, this representative was in his office, 2 rooms away, and started going off on me in relations to a conversation I was having with my wife on the way out the door. Very unprofessional staff and shady business practices. STAY AWAY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE! Based on his behavior I would say he is a little insecure about his job responsibilities and did not appreciate being caught so easily.
