Apartment Review for Peppertree Lane Apartments - Jacksonville, FL

When I first moved here it was a-one. However, over the past few years this property has deteriorated rapidly due to the so-called apartment management. Repairs rarely are completed properly the first time and follow-up calls to mangement are constantly met with rudeness. In fact, rudenss and unprofessionalism is the norm. Vehicles are broken into or stolen on a routine basis even though there is a police officer who lives on the property. The officer is never seen by the residents as he never seems to leave his apartment . The insulation in the apartments is non-existent. The air conditioner in the summer and heater in the winter run constantly to no avail. The apartment manager has stated several times that air conditioning in your apartment is not a necessity (IN FLORIDA??) Needless to say monthly electric bills are sky high. If you like to use the swimming pool, this is not the place for you. The swimming pool is constantly filled with debris (dead bugs, roaches, lizards, hair, paper) and there is an oily film that can be seen on top of the water. Several resident complaints to management have been met with total indifference. The condition was so bad this past summer that I filed a complaint with the health department. Despite these facts, this could be a nice community if Pepertree Lane would hire a manager who took pride in t he community she is in charge of. BE CAUTIONED.
