Apartment Review for Florida Club At Deerwood - Jacksonville, FL

I would not recommend this apartment community to anyone period. The first issue that I would like to address is the fact that there is zero parking. All though the grounds are beautiful and the apartment interiors are excellent, you must be prepared to walk a long distance if you park after 7p.m. The second issue is the office’s upper management. They are definitely under par as they seem to think that they are the only people in the world that are educated. They are very snuddie, snobbish and downright rude and horrible to work with. I was solicited a noise compliant after I was harassed by the security officer hired to patrol the gate. I have lived in many gated communities and have never ever ever ever been harassed by a guard especially after you have identified yourself as a community member. That night I left my key card in another car. I followed another resident in and was flagged buy the guard to pull over so I did. He rushed my car aggressively and screamed to leave the premises and re enters the correct way. I then informed him to look at the sticker on my car and even apologized and told him I will not let it happen again. I did not re-enter and drove away slowly as he rode my bumper back to my unit. (He claims I sped that’s way he followed be back, if I would have tapped the breaks he would have smashed into me).At this point I started to get very agitated. As I got out of my car he wanted to continue his conversation and I politely told I do not have time for this I’m late logging in to an online class. When I got up to my apartment he yelled, “That’s right take you faggot ass inside.” I immediately dropped my things, ran down the stairs and gave him a piece of my mind. The next day I received to notice about threatening staff is grounds for termination of lease agreement and a noise complaint. So at that point I had to contact the housing authority for the state of Florida about a sexual harassment case. I had to follow up with the same intensity as they projected. And of course their attitude did a 180 after I recommended immediate mediation on this matter. Thankfully they did because the next step was a sexual harassment case paid for by the state of Florida. I also had documented witnesses that herd the harassment as other tenants asked if I was ok. Now when I go into the office I get starred down as if, oh there’s that guy. Plainly they need to grow up. I’m not one of those weird types of people that look for trouble but I will not be run over by snobbish office retards. Another tenet also received a notice because her son comes over to visit too often and stated that if seen again they will prorate her lease agreement. By the way this is a real nice lady were talking about. So the daughter tried to go to the office to explain but they would not talk to her because she’s not on the lease. Where do they get off? If they spent as much time as they do harassing residents on things like parking this place would be a little better. There’s currently a party on the first floor and I had to park at the club house and walk because 5 parking spots are taken up by people that don’t live here. The pros, excellent maintenance with fast service, very clean grounds, and beautiful apartment interiors…..
