Apartment Review for Dupont Gardens - Jacksonville, FL

i used to work AND live here. and JUST like the tenants, my apartment was filthy upon moving in, horrible bug problem, the fixtures, door, layouts, etc are at least twenty years old, and i too was a witness to many burgularies, drug dealings. i was told to turn a blind eye to all illegal activity, and i was young and naive, and so i did. this was the worst mistake of my life. and i was jumped by 7 of the tenants that i evicted, while the property manager, MY BOSS looked on and did NOTHING. they even kicked in my door. she then asked me if i would be RETURNING TO WORK. this is THE MOST DANGEROUS place on that side of town to live. the rent is WAYYYY to high, and on top of it all, while i was in the hospital rcovering, the property manager illegally opened my doors and allowed her "maintenance people" and my neighbors help themselves to my furnishings and stero system, my tv clothes, etc. they have NO SHAME, the entire place is decreped, and the drug dealers that jumped me and my boyfriend, guess what? they were in cahoots with the manager, and they still live there TO THIS DAY. this was 3 years ago! i hope they tear the place down with the manager inside, for what they put me through, and that's just the HALF of it. getting out alive is a triumph within itsself.
