Apartment Review for Cape House - Jacksonville, FL

Well, I'm happy to announce that I have finally left Cape House. I have lived there for over two years. When my family and I moved in, we dealt with the previous leasing group. They kept the property very nice, and made sure to screen all of the new tenants. It felt like home there. Neighbors were nice, and it was very family friendly. After Equity took over it went down hill. I had the most annoying neighbors who lived above me. They threw parties 3-4 nights out of the week. I called the apartment officer to come handle the situation. Every time I called, they were unable to come out or didn't even call me back. Which I learned that if a security officer witnesses constant disruption from the same neighbor, then that neighbor would be evicted. So I ended up calling the JAX police; however, that didn't permanently fix the situation. I didn't feel safe walking around. I witnessed on several occassions residents walking around in the middle of the night smoking marijuana. It's just not suited for families with children. The apartments are pretty, except for the gross polluted ponds, the trashed out pools and the overflowing trash dumpster. The inside of the apartments were nice. I enjoyed my large kitchen and big tubs. I had a court yard which was nice; however, rude neighbors threw their trash in it. If I was dealt with any problems, the management said they would fix it but they either patched up a problem or nothing was done. It was just a waste of money. I'm so glad I'm gone.
