Apartment Review
Nice place

We're only moving to live closer to work. Several staff members live in the apts & they know us by name. We had problems with bugs but since the new company, Madison, bought the place, they brought in a different type of pest control and we've had no problems. We occasionally hear dogs barking (not loud) and can hear the guy upstairs pee when we're in the master bedroom, but that's it for noise. I think if we lived closer to the pool we might hear kids, but we're in the back near the mailboxes. When we moved in last year we heard someone was shot here (though not from people living or working here), but we never heard anything else and we've felt very safe, so we think it was just a rumor. Our electricity bills are low even though we keep the place at 72 degrees. Water is included and stays hot even though my husband takes really long showers. :) Storage is great--lots of closet space! Lots of kids and dogs, but the place stays clean and like I said, we're near the edge of the community and don't hear much. Awesome parking. The new company has cleaned up the landscaping a lot, now they're working on the roofs. Apparently they are slowly renovating the entire place, but we haven't been disturbed by noise. There's a place to wash & vacuum your car (insert quarters), and you can put air in your tires. They have occasional community activities, though we've never been to any. They don't mind you putting curtain rods up & drilling a hole for cable cords, if you're careful. A complaint I have is how dark our apt usually is, but it's b/c there are a lot of trees in front of our place and don't get a lot of sunlight. We have an updated 2 bedroom with a washer/dryer, I'd recommend that, though they do have a clean-looking laundry room. Lots of little paths you can walk around on, and you can see the neighbors keep their places up: there are potted plants, outdoor furniture, etc. around. If you leave something that looks messy on your porch (we had an old set of golf clubs and a folded-up tarp there for a month or 2), they ask you to move it, which keeps things looking nice. Make sure to give the pizza delivery guy explicit directions since it's a bit confusing to find buildings. :) Oh, and they're good with maintaining the place, but if you put in a work order it's a very good idea to call them either the day before or the morning of if they're scheduled to go into your apt so they don't forget.
